Welcome to the Kensington Health Centre, a not-for-profit
health care organization focusing on health and wellness services
for seniors and people of all ages. Here you will find a wide

services, including the 350 bed Kensington Gardens long-term care centre.

It all begins with the focus we place on providing true care,
rather than the notion of treatment, or therapy found in traditional
nursing homes built on the medical model. As a result, we
are able to offer our clients the freedom and independence
they need to thrive, and build an extraordinary quality
of life.
Kensington Gardens has received a three year accreditation award from the Canadian Council on Health Services Accreditation (www.cchsa.ca). The independent, peer review survey was completed in January 2008 and indicates that the home meets or exceeds the highest national standards in care and services in Long Term Care, and strives to continuously improve. Our accreditation certificate is proudly displayed in our facility.

CUSTOMER SERVICE EXCELLENCE:
Kensington Gardens has been designated as a "Customer Service Organization" by the Service Excellence Corporation (www.otec.org). Over 75% of our employees are trained to provide quality, consistent customer service to our clients. This training continues in 2009 for newly hired staff. We are proud of our staff and their extraordinary daily efforts to realize our vision of being recognized as leaders in promoting quality of life.
COACHING FOR EXCELLENCE:
To continue with our culture of excellence in 2009, Kensington Gardens has partnered with the Service Excellence Corporation to develop a new training initiative, "Coaching For Excellence", which gives employees who supervise other employees an opportunity to enhance their leadership skills. By the end of 2008 all department supervisory staff, including RN's and RPN's, will have completed this training module.
